A tidy start from Richard Ngarava as he keeps the Sri Lankan openers quiet. Just four runs from the first over with a mild appeal on the last ball.
Muzarabani gets the early breakthrough, Kusal Mendis slashes at a short wide one but only manages to toe-end it straight to deep third.
Big blow for Sri Lanka as Pathum Nissanka departs. Evans strikes with a clever slower ball and Munyonga pulls off a stunning low diving catch at deep square leg. With Nissanka gone, two very inexperienced batters Mishara (4th T20I) and Nuwanidu (3rd T20I) are now at the crease.
Sri Lanka in deep trouble now as Nuwanidu Fernando departs to Muzarabani. A mistimed lofted stroke goes straight to mid-off, leaving the visitors reeling with three wickets down inside the Powerplay.
Stumps are flying in Harare! Mishara falls to a pinpoint yorker from Evans as Sri Lanka end the Powerplay in tatters. Zimbabwe’s bowlers have dominated, leaving the visitors wounded.
Skipper Sikandar Raza strikes in his very first over, trapping Kamindu Mendis lbw. Sri Lanka’s collapse deepens with half their side back in the dressing room inside seven overs. Shanaka walks in with a mountain to climb. Zimbabwe are on top of the visitors at the moment.
At the halfway stage of the innings, Zimbabwe are all over Sri Lanka. The visitors are trying to rotate strike and wear off the pressure, but recovery will be tough. It will be exciting to see if they can rebuild and post a competitive total. Plenty of cricket still left in this match.
Skipper to skipper! Sikandar Raza removes Charith Asalanka followed by a plumb appeal to get Chameera as Sri Lanka continue to reel. The big question now is whether SL can even cross 100, with Zimbabwe absolutely lethal in this innings.
Sri Lanka bundled out for just 80 in 17.4 overs as Zimbabwe deliver a dominant bowling display. Brad Evans and skipper Sikandar Raza picked three wickets each, while Blessing Muzarabani chipped in with two. Sri Lanka couldn’t even cross 100, leaving Zimbabwe in prime position to level the series.
The chase has taken an early twist as Sri Lanka strike twice in the same over, with Dushmantha Chameera once again leading from the front. Two quick wickets have pegged Zimbabwe back, but with captain Sikandar Raza now at the crease, the hosts will look to steady the innings. Sri Lanka, though, have very little on the board to defend.
Dushmantha Chameera is single-handedly keeping Sri Lanka alive in this contest. The big wicket of Sikandar Raza falls as he drags one back onto his stumps. From a dominant position, Zimbabwe suddenly find themselves under pressure with three wickets down inside the powerplay.
After a few hiccups, Zimbabwe find themselves in a comfortable position to chase the target at the halfway stage of the second innings. With 25 runs needed from 10 overs, the hosts are well placed to level the series.
This is Zimbabwe's first win over a full member side this year. Sri Lanka fielded an inexperienced top order and suffered one of their worst T20I collapses ever, registering their second-lowest total. Zimbabwe win by five wickets to level the series 1-1.
