South Africa continued their dominant, unbeaten run in the 2026 T20 World Cup, securing a five-wicket victory over Zimbabwe today at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi.
After winning the toss and electing to bat, Zimbabwe posted 153/7. Captain Sikandar Raza was the hero of the innings, smashing a resilient 73 off 43 balls despite playing with a hairline fracture. South Africa’s young pace sensation Kwena Maphaka was the standout bowler, claiming 2/21.
The Proteas' chase started shakily at 43/3, with Raza causing trouble by taking three wickets. However, Dewald Brevis shifted the momentum with a blistering 42 off 18 balls. The cool heads of George Linde (30)* and Tristan Stubbs (21)* eventually guided South Africa to the target with 13 balls to spare.
With this win, South Africa heads into the semifinals against New Zealand as the tournament's only undefeated side.
