Bangladesh beat Zimbabwe by 4 wickets in the series decider with just 2 balls left to win the three-match series by 2-1 at the Queen Sports Club, Bulawayo on Sunday, July 19.
After electing to bat first, Zimbabwe posted a competitive 143/7 in their allotted 20 overs, thanks to a brilliant 73-run knock from Dion Myers.
Myers, along with Brian Bennett, stitched together a 71-run stand for the second wicket to put Zimbabwe in a commanding position. However, Bangladesh's bowlers staged an impressive comeback, tightening the screws in the latter half of the innings to restrict Zimbabwe to 143/7.
In reply, Bangladesh were cruising towards the target at one stage, reaching 122/2 with Tanzid Hasan leading the charge through a well-crafted 66. A sudden flurry of wickets injected some late drama into the contest, but the Bangla Tigers eventually crossed the finish line with two wickets to spare.
Elsewhere, England have set a mammoth 388-run target for the visiting Indian team in the third and final ODI at Lord's.
Zimbabwe have won the toss and elected to bat first in the final T20I.
