Yastika Bhatia and Hayley Matthews opened the batting for Mumbai Indians and for UP Warriorz, Grace Harris bowled the first over. Yastika smashed a boundary on the first delivery and played the next five dot balls.

MI - 4/0 (1)

Hayley Matthews hit a boundary on the first delivery of Chamari Athapaththu's over but she got her caught out on the third delivery. Nat Sciver-Brunt replaced her at the crease.

MI - 8/1 (2)

Chamari takes his second wicket. This appears to be a decent throw for Healy to lose. Yastika was pinned down and had little to work with, so she decided to play the sweep and hit it straight to deep backward square, where Shweta Sehrawat reverse scooped it safely.

MI - 17/2 (4)

Sophie Ecclestone came to bowl the seventh over of the innings and Deepti Sharma followed her and came to bowl the eighth over. Both spinners delivered well and conceded just five runs off their respective overs.

MI - 47/2 (8)

Rajeshwari ends the partnership. A well-built and menacing Sciver-Brunt steps back. This was the arm-ball that skidded along; Sciver-Brunt attempted to move it past the line but was beaten, and the ball crashed into the middle stump. UP needed that since the scoring rate had increased since the stoppage.

MI - 82/3 (12)

Deepti has her first and she is overjoyed. Slows it down and drags Amanjot into the big shot; the length is not perfect for the slog sweep, and Amanjot gets a thick top edge, while Saima rushes in from a deep square leg and makes a superb grab.

MI - 122/5 (16)

Amelia Kerr and S Sajana made a partnership and added crucial runs. As death overs are nearing, the duo will be eyeing a good finish on the board.

MI - 139/5 (18)

Amelia Kerr and S Sajana played some fearless shots in the death overs to put up a respectable total on board after batting first. MI-W have set a 161-run target for UP Warriorz.

MI - 160/6 (20)

Brief Score: MI - 160/6 (20)

Nat Sciver-Brunt - 45 (31), Amelia Kerr - 39 (23) | Chamari Athapaththu: (4-0-27-2)

Kiran Navgire and Alyssa Healy opened the chase for UP Warriorz and Shabnim Ismail came to bowl the first over. She conceded three runs in the first over.

UPW - 3/0 (1)

The dangerous Kiran Navgire gets dispatched early. She returned across the wicket to Kiran Navgire, floated up a really full delivery on off-stump, a yorker, and it crept right under the bat as Kiran Navgire attempted to push it into the leg-side, nailed off-stump, and Mumbai made their first breakthrough.

UPW - 11/1 (2)

Ismail has defeated Healy with pure speed here. A length ball on the off-stump slides through and nips back in a touch, putting Healy in a bad position; she was caught on her crease and sought to swipe at this with an angled bat, but the movement back in carried it clean through the gate and flattened the leg-stump. Mumbai is currently leading this fight.

UPW - 16/3 (5)

Grace Harris got off the mark on the fifteenth ball with a six off Hayley Matthews. She tried to shift gears and smashed another six off Saika Ishaque's first delivery of the 10th over but got bowled on the very next delivery.

UPW - 42/4 (10)

Shweta Sehrawat threw up all of her stumps and lost them with a length delivery on middle, Sehrawat backed away trying to guide this towards backward point and missed, it smashed into middle-stump and Sehrawat was on her way after a short cameo.

UPW - 60/5 (13)

Ecclestone poked this and chipped it to wide long-on; Sajana was at long-on and covered a lot of ground to her right before sprinting in and diving forward to reach it, taking it just inches off the turf and holding on. That's a fantastic catch, and Ecclestone's gone for a golden duck. Nat Sciver-Brunt will be on a hat trick.

UPW - 75/7 (15)

Deepti Sharma smashed a four then a six in the second over of Amelia Kerr's spell to extract 14 runs off the over.

UPW - 103/7 (18)

S Sajana came to bowl the last over of the innings with 55 runs required. She dismissed Saima Thakor to make UPW nine down but Deepti Sharma smashed a four then a six to bring up her half-century in style. UP Warriorz still remained 42 runs short of the target.

UPW - 118/9 (20)

I think Mumbai played really well with the ball. Not a good start, losing three wickets with the bat. We've been working really hard; the nature of the competition does not allow for much time to work hard. We've dropped a few receptions in practically every game, and it's cost us. We had observed the conditions on TV but didn't appraise them on the day, so we moved on and will return stronger the next time. It would be wonderful for the top four to score runs, but Deepti has been scoring consistently throughout the tournament.

We feared we could be 20 runs short, but we did extremely well when they came out to bat. That partnership (between herself and Sciver-Brunt) was crucial; Sciver-Brunt batted really effectively, and I was simply rotating the strike. Kerr also batted well, but I felt they bowled well as well, allowing few runs. When we were batting, we knew there was something in the pitch, and I warned my bowlers about it. It wasn't a large total, but I assured them we could do it if we cut it to the appropriate lengths.

Very happy! We wanted to correct some errors from the previous game. Probably didn't start well, but finished with a nice total. We thought it was going to be low, but you don't know until you play on it. We wanted to go to 160 since we knew the outfield was so speedy. I enjoy playing off the back foot. Very pleased with that (wicket off the slower ball); it's a variation I've been working on. Getting a couple of wickets at that point was a plus; it was excellent to keep them to that score and perhaps improve our run rate.

Mumbai Indians have come out victorious in the battle against UP Warriorz thanks to Nat Sciver-Brunt's all-round performance and Shabnim Ismail's opening spell shook the UP Warriorz's top-order. Saika Ishaque also bowled brilliantly in MI's 42-run win over UPW. We will join you all tomorrow. Until then, it's goodbye from our side. Goodnight!
