South Africa have won the toss and have opted to field.
South Africa (Playing XI): Aiden Markram(c), Quinton de Kock(w), Ryan Rickelton, Dewald Brevis, Tristan Stubbs, Jason Smith, George Linde, Corbin Bosch, Kagiso Rabada, Anrich Nortje, Kwena Maphaka
United Arab Emirates (Playing XI): Aryansh Sharma(w), Muhammad Waseem(c), Alishan Sharafu, Sohaib Khan, Harshit Kaushik, Muhammad Arfan, Dhruv Parashar, Muhammad Farooq, Haider Ali, Junaid Siddique, Muhammad Jawadullah
We are underway, with Aryansh Sharma and Muhammad Waseem at the crease. Aryansh Sharma takes strike as Kagiso Rabada begins the bowling attack. Stay tuned for live updates.
Rabada charges in, but Muhammad Waseem is all over him. A full ball outside off is met with a clean, straight-batted punch that rockets down the ground, skidding over the rope after a couple of bounces. Next delivery, Rabada goes a touch straighter, and Waseem clears his front leg, thumping it straight back past the bowler for another boundary. The pressure is mounting.
Rabada tries again, but it’s drifting too straight. Waseem shuffles inside the line and whips it neatly past short fine leg. That’s three in a row, a hat-trick of fours, and UAE have thrown an early counterpunch in this contest.
George Linde strikes and South Africa have their breakthrough. Trapped in front, Muhammad Waseem immediately goes for the review, hoping for a lifeline.
There’s nothing on UltraEdge, and ball-tracking returns three reds, pitching in line, impact in line, and crashing into the stumps. The on-field decision stands, and Waseem departs for a brisk 22 off 12 balls, laced with four boundaries.
Corbin Bosch strikes again as Sohaib Khan’s innings comes to an end, caught brilliantly by Quinton de Kock. Bosch’s pace and extra bounce forced the batter to poke at a delivery outside off stump, but the thick edge carried perfectly to de Kock, who moved to his right and took it cleanly above his shoulder. Bosch’s spell now reads 2 for 2, while Sohaib departs for 6 off 11 balls.

Another one goes down for South Africa and they are struggling for breathing space. Anrich Nortje's pace is too hot to handle for them and Syed Haider departs after trying to force is way out. He got rushed onto the pull, took his eyes off it and the ball lobs into the hands of mid-wicket. UAE struggling to find a way to a competitive score.
Alishan Sharafu has been living by the edge of the sword. Whenever he has tried to hit a big shot, a chance has been created, but South Africa has been able to convert those chances. Earlier Sharafu played a pull shot to the square leg region where two fielders dropped a juggling catch. Now, a slice of a lofted shot on the off side and Marco Jansen runs in, only failing to reach it properly. The ball trickles down for a boundary.
The last resistance of UAE are coming off as well. Alishan Sharafu is the latest one to depart after playing a steady and gritty knock. He fought well but finally he got one top edge which was caught in the deep. South African bowlers have been relentless and they barely gave off anything loose. UAE will look to get whatever they can to put up some competition.
Only eight runs from the last two overs. Only four runs and a wicket in the last over of Corbin Bosch. Sums up how the innings has went for UAE. Except Alishan Sharafu and to some extend Muhammad Waseem, none has been able to deal with the quality fast bowling unit of South Africa. The score is not competitive on this surface but UAE will look to make it as much difficult for South Africa as they can. Proteas on the other hand, will look to finish things quickly.
Just as the first innings comes to an end, groundstaff rush inside with the covers. It was drizzling for some time but umpires allowed the innings to be completed. Looks like there won't be any prompt restart of the second innings.
Good news for the fans. Looks like it was just a brief shower. The covers are being removed. The supersopper is on its job and the action should resume soon. Aiden Markram is spotted waiting with pads on in the dressing room balcony.
The same old cat and mouse game with rain. Just as it seemed the match can resume, the drizzle returned and so has the covers. They are firmly in place and it doesn't look like we can have a timely restart. The wait continues with the steady drizzle.
All the covers have been removed and the play is all set to restart soon. The revised start time is 1:30 PM Indian Standard Time (IST). UAE players have completed warm-up and are in a huddle.
Good start for South Africa, but they lose their first one too. Haider Ali's arm ball sneaks through the expansive shot of Aiden Markram and wrecks his stumps. Tried to play across the line but Haider was smart to see it through. Proteas although, are off to a solid start with Quinton de Kock finding his rhythm.
Muhammad Jawadullah gets the better of Quinton de Kock but that has not stopped the scoring rate of South Africa. They have already covered half the way of the chase in just 7 overs and with Dewald Brevis and Ryan Rickelton out on the crease they don't look like slowing down. Jawadullah had de Kock cut one straight into the hands of the deep point fielder.
Ever since coming to the crease, Dewald Brevis has upped the ante by playing some big shots. Him and Ryan Rickelton have stitched a steady partnership in a very quick time and now South Africa are withing touching distance of the target.

Ryan Rickelton departs trying to finish the match in a hurry. Half-tracker from Muhammad Farooq, Ryan Rickelton goes on the back foot and pulls flat, but doesn't get the placement right. Parashar moves and slides to take it with both hands. South Africa are moments away from another win here.
A comfortable win for South Africa in the end. They cruised to their target in just 13.2 overs. They lost two wickets lately due to rushing to finish. They will enter the Super Eight unbeaten now and backed with confidence. Corbin Bosch shined with the ball, scalping three wickets in the first innings. The chase was not intimidating and Dewald Brevis showed glimpses of his power. UAE's campaign comes to an end with one win out of four matches.
