Ranji Trophy 2025-26 Round 2, Day 2: Services, Haryana Seal Big Wins
The second day of Round 2 of the Ranji Trophy 2025-26 saw Services beat Assam in a stunning eight-wicket win that marked the shortest-ever game in the tournament's history. The match lasted just 90 overs, with 32 wickets falling and two hat-tricks taken — one each by Arjun Sharma and Mohit Jangra. Haryana also sealed a nine-wicket win over Tripura, with Swapnil Singh picking up 7/66 in the second innings. Meanwhile, at Shimoga, Karun Nair remained unbeaten on 174 against Goa, sending a message to the national selectors. A late flourish from Prerit Dutta (72 off 145) and Mayank Markande (48 off 141) took Punjab to 436, with Kerala trailing by 421 runs. Mumbai reached a total of 406 at stumps, with Ajinkya Rahane scoring 159 off 303 balls.
