Ranji Trophy 2025-26 Round 2, Day 1: Ajinkya Rahane Hits Hundred; Delhi In Command Against HP
The second-round matches of Ranji Trophy 2025-26 got underway across venues in the country on Saturday (October 25, 2025). In New Delhi, openers Sanat Sangwan, Arpit Rana and vice-captain Yash Dhull scored contrasting fifties but failed to convert them into hundreds as Delhi ended the opening day's play against Himachal Pradesh on 306 for 4 in Group D. In Mumbai, Ajikya Rahane retired hurt after hitting a century as Mumbai were batting at 251 for five at stumps against Chhattisgarh. And 25 wickets fell on a single day in Tinsukia, Assam where the hosts were batting at 56 for five against Services, after being dismissed for 103 and bowling them out for 108 in reply.
