Seven out of eight spots for the quarterfinals are still up for grabs in the ongoing Ranji Trophy 2024-25 season. Here's the qualification scenario for all the top teams
Vidarbha are the only team to have sealed their spot in the quarters from Group B. Many teams would have hoped that the return of star players like Shubman Gill and Rohit Sharma would boost their chances, but the India batters failed upon comeback.
With each team left one game to play, who could go through for the remaining seven spots in the Ranji Trophy quarter-finals. Here's all you need to know:
Group A Qualification Scenario
From Group A, the race is tight for the quarter-final between J&K (29 Points), Baroda (24 points) and Mumbai (22 points). J&K's last win over Mumbai have boosted their morale, as they take on Baroda in the final round, and even a draw would suffice. Baroda, on the other hand, will need to win their fixture against Jammu and Kashmir as a draw won't help depending on Mumbai's result. Ajinkya Rahane's men need to beat Meghalaya and if Baroda beat J&K, must win with a bonus-point, and a big margin of victory to surpass J&K.

Group C Qualification Scenario
The Group C sees Haryana lead the race with 26 points from six games, and requires one point to seal qualification. If they lose to Karnataka, then Ankit Kumar-led side will have to rely on Kerala of not taking more than three points in their match against Bihar. Kerala need a draw with a big first-innings lead qualify, and must hope KL Rahul's Karnataka does not win.

Group D Qualification Scenario
In Group D, Tamil Nadu (25 points) must require a win or a draw to progress, whereas Chandigarh (19 points), Saurashtra (18 points) and Railways (17 points) are still in the mix for the second qualifying spot. If Chandigarh gets a bonus point against Chhattisgarh, then Saurashtra and Railways will be eliminated. However, if Chandigarh get six points and Saurashtra beat Assam with a bonus point, then the qualification will determined on quotient. Railways must beat Delhi and rely on other results to progress. Delhi, who will be boosted by Virat Kohli's return, along with Jharkhand must depend on other results to progress.
