The first powerplay comes to an end, and it has been a slow but steady start from Scotland. After losing two wickets in the first over itself, the Scots must have feared the worst. However, Grant and Knight have steadied the innings, taking their time to settle in what looks like a challenging surface to bat on.
What an action-packed opening over that was! Theo Robinson punished Ali Raza's loose bowling with a boundary off the very first ball. The next one, however, was a bit quicker, smashing the stumps and earning Pakistan U19 their first breakthrough.
The carnage continues, though, as new batter Max Chaplin opens his account with a six off a wide delivery. Then, another wide runs away for four more. And another wide.
Then, a repeat of the first wicket as another quicker ball beats the defence of Chaplin, with the middle stump going for a toss. An expensive but effective first over from Raza.
