Oman have claimed their 3rd straight victory in the ICC T20 World Cup East Asia Pacific qualifiers as they beat Qatar by 34 runs. Jatinder Singh's inspirational knock of 66 in the 1st innings had set the tone perfectly for the hosts, who also capitalized with the ball.
After a poor performance with the ball, Qatar never got going with the bat as they kept losing wickets in regular intervals. Top order batter Shariq Munir was the team's highest scorer (34 off 25), however, his lone effort was not enough.
The other batters in the line-up failed to make an impact with none of them even being able to score 30 runs. Up next, Oman will take on UAE while Qatar will go head to head against Nepal tomorrow
