Pakistan A women kick-start the ACC Women's Asia Cup Rising Stars 2026 tournament with a 30-run victory in the opening match against Nepal, at the Terdthai Cricket Ground, Bangkok. Hafsa Khalid was adjudged the player of the match
Pakistan A batted first in the and posted a total of 137/6 on the board. Hafsa Khalid scored a fighting 40 off 39 deliveries and stayed unbeaten. She was supported well by Waheeda Akhtar's 23. Nepal's Kabita Kunwar scalped two wickets.
Nepal started the chase well with Bindu Rawal scoring 39 off 45 balls. They scored 62/1 in the first 10 overs and were going strong when Rawal was dismissed. From there, they collapsed. Despite Kabita Kunwar and Sita Rana Magar's attempts, Nepal finished their innings on 107/6.
Pakistan A will play their next match against India A on February 15. Nepal, meanwhile, will clash with UAE earlier on the same day.
Organized by the Asian Cricket Council (ACC), the tournament is designed to bridge the gap between domestic circuits and the senior international arena, giving emerging talent crucial exposure at a competitive level.
This year’s competition brings together eight teams, combining four ‘A’ squads from the continent’s major cricketing nations, India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, and Sri Lanka, with four senior national sides from Nepal, the UAE, Malaysia, and Thailand.
All 15 matches will be played at the Terdthai Cricket Ground, a venue known for balanced pitches and conducive conditions for exciting T20 cricket.
Nepal Women have won the toss and have opted to field.
