What a beautiful shot. Madara attacks, and Mandhana sends it racing to the boundary. A back-of-a-length delivery just outside off, Smriti stands tall and punches it straight of mid-off. The fielder dives but can’t stop it, and the ball cruises away to the ropes.

And they’ve finally broken through! Chamari floats one outside off, and Mandhana punches it to cover, calls for a quick single, but it’s chaos in the middle. The fielder is quick to pounce, and Rawal turns back, leaving Smriti stranded in no man’s land. A clean throw, the keeper whips off the bails, and Mandhana has to go. Run out for 18 off 28, with three boundaries. Sri Lanka breathe again.
This is the wicket Sri Lanka needed! Inoka Ranaweera delivers, and Pratika Rawal is sent packing LBW! The ball skids on quicker, straight down the middle-stump line, and Pratika, going for the pull, is beaten for pace. It’s straight in front of middle and leg, and the umpire has no hesitation in raising the finger. Rawal departs for 35 off 39, including three boundaries and a six.
Madara bowls to Kaur, and Harmanpreet takes full advantage of the free-hit. A beautifully timed shot as Madara overpitches, and the Indian captain clears her front leg to drill it past the non-striker. The ball beats mid-on to her left and races away to the ropes for a boundary.

Malki Madara delivers a length ball wide outside off, Arundhati Reddy goes for the slash but can’t quite reach it, and it keeps a little low as well, no run.
Sri Lanka made a strong comeback in the final overs. However, Richa Ghosh's brilliant 58, along with solid contributions from the rest of the batting line-up, lifted India to a competitive total of 275 for 9an, impressive score on this pitch. Athapaththu and Sugandika were the standout bowlers for Sri Lanka, taking six wickets between them. India successfully defended 276 against South Africa in their previous match. Can they repeat that performance, or will Sri Lanka's improved batting attack chase down the target? Stay tuned for the chase after the break.
The chase is on as Hasini Perera and Vishmi Gunaratne are at the crease, with Perera on strike. Kashvee Gautam opens the bowling attack, delivering a fuller-length delivery on the pads, which Perera clips straight to the fielder at mid-wicket.

India's physio is seen attending to Arundhati Reddy, who is now walking off the field. She doesn't appear to be in good condition, possibly struggling with the heat. Sneh Rana is now coming into the attack, with a slip in place.

Smriti Mandhana pulls off a stunner to remove a rampaging Nilakshi de Silva! Charani floats it up on middle, Nilakshi steps out looking to clear extra cover, but Mandhana sprints in from long-off and dives forward to take a brilliant low catch. A fiery 56 off 33 comes to an end, and India strike just when they needed it.
20 runs from the last three overs, as Sri Lanka are powering their way to the target. Sugandika Kumari is taking charge at the moment, hitting two boundaries after coming on. Only 18 runs needed now.
And that's that! Despite Arundhati Reddy taking the match to the final over with some tight death bowling, Sri Lanka get over the line, with Anushka Sanjeewani finishing the match off with a boundary over fine leg to secure a victory with five balls to spare. This is the first win for SL-W over IND-W in seven years.
