India Vs Zimbabwe, T20 World Cup 2026: Men in Blue Outclass ZIM By 72 Runs In Super 8 Clash
India registered a commanding 72-run victory over Zimbabwe in their crucial ICC T20 World Cup 2026 Super 8 clash at the MA Chidambaram Stadium, Chennai, keeping their semifinal hopes alive. Batting first after being put in, India piled up a tournament-best 256/4, powered by half-centuries from Abhishek Sharma and Hardik Pandya along with impactful contributions from the middle order. In reply, Zimbabwe showed resistance through Brian Bennett’s fighting 97, but the massive target proved too steep as regular wickets stalled momentum. India’s bowlers maintained control through the middle overs to restrict Zimbabwe to 184/6, sealing an important win, although the margin fell short of the required boost to overhaul West Indies’ Net Run Rate in Group 1.
