No chances of washout today as there is only 1% probability of precipitation. The temperature is expected to remain at 30 degree Celsius and it will get cooler by the evening.

The Holkar Stadium is known for being a batting friendly surface. The pitch is made up of black soil and offers decent bounce with a little seam movement. Spinners might have a say today when the game progresses, but overall, this is a surface tailor made for batting. This is the same surface where Australia scored 326 runs and New Zealand scored 231 runs (1st innings) in the only two Women's World Cup 2025 matches.

Nat Sciver-Brunt: "We want to make the most of the fresh wicket and get a big total on the board. Outfield will be lightning quick. We'll be looking for some big partnerships. A lot of noise with the India fans, hopefully everyone is clear and focussed. We know we've got three tough games left, but coming with a lot of confidence."

Harmanpreet Kaur: "We were looking to bowl first and glad to get that. Having extra bowler is always a great thing. Renuka has a great record against England and that was the main reason we wanted her back. Even though we lost last two games we played good cricket in between. We just want to enjoy the match."

What a dramatic start to the English innings. Renuka Thakur pings Tammy Beaumont in front, first up and though given not out, the Indians think of referring it. But even as they ponder the decision, the no-ball siren goes off! Beaumont dispatches the resulting free hit for four, but it's a tight over otherwise. Kranti Goud follows it up with an otherwise decent over with a boundary ball. England are away.

Top start from England and they are now going at five runs per over here in Indore. Indian new ball bowlers have not been able to provide a breakthrough so far.

Fifty up for the English side. Amy Jones and Tammy Beaumont are both taking their time but also punishing any mistakes from the Indian bowlers. Nothing has worked so far for Indian bowlers.

Drinks are on the field now. England have started really, really well. India are yet to strike but they have kept things tight for large parts of this game so far. Who will bring the first wicket is now the question.

Deepti Sharma joins the attack after the drinks break and immediately strikes. Tammy Beaumont has been bowled by Deepti Sharma for 22 (43). A brilliant start for the Indian all-rounder and the Women In Blue will have a sigh of relief.

Deepti Sharma gets another wicket and Amy Jones walks back after a solid half-century. Smriti Mandhana takes the catch to give Deepti her second wicket of the afternoon. Brilliant start from the off-spinner and India are back in this contest.

A partnership brewing between Nat-Sciver Brunt and Heather Knight. The duo has added 38 runs from 47 balls already and are going really well as Indian bowlers have found it hard to stop easy runs. Another wicket is now needed for the Women in Blue.

20 runs in the last three overs for England and they are pushing the run rate high. Heather Knight is closing in on her half-century while Nat Sciver Brunt is on 23. Deepti Sharma is the only bowler with a wicket so far in this game for India.

Heather Knight is in full flow. 76 off 70 so far for Knight who is looking in total control against an Indian bowling line-up that has not looked at its best. Knight would be aiming a ton here but can India get her out to get some relief?

An 86-ball century for Heather Knight. What an incredible innings. She has swept so well tonight and now she is taking on the pacers. 28 runs off the last three overs and England are on the charge now. 300 definitely on the cards now.

A bit of a comeback by Indian bowlers in the last few overs to put brakes on the English side. Knight is run out much to India's relief and since her wicket, India have got two more wickets and just given away 20 runs.

Slow start from India and they have been affected by the wicket of Pratika Rawal. Good three overs from both ends from Lauren Bell and Linsey Smith. India will need to take some risks at some point. All eyes on Smriti Mandhana right now.

Harleen Deol has been given out lbw on the last ball of the powerplay. She was batting so well but has to depart for 24 off 31 deliveries. Five boundaries for Harleen tonight but that will be it. England put some more pressure on India.

Harmanpreet Kaur has started with a bang. 16 off 14 for the Indian captain right now and she has the ability to turn this game into a no-contest. She can tear apart any bowling attack and England would be well aware of that. Smriti Mandhana continues to play the second fiddle with 21 off 25

The 50-run partnership between Harmanpreet Kaur and Smriti Mandhana has come up and that too in only 48 balls. This game is getting interesting. If the Indian duo continue like this, England will be under pressure really soon.

Harmanpreet Kaur completes her fifty. Smriti Mandhana is already past the half-century mark and India are in control of this game now. The two senior pros are stitching a crucial partnership for India. England would now be worried.

Wicket for England. A brilliant partnership of 125 comes to an end and it is the English captain Nat Sciver Brunt who provides here side the much-needed breakthrough. Harmanpreet kaur departs for a run-a-ball 70 and this wicket has the potential to turn the game around.

India women are cruising at the moment. The English players look deflated on the field. Smriti Mandhana is fifteen away from a match-winning century and she is well-supported by Deepti Sharma.

India Women need 56 runs in 54 balls

England bowlers have restricted the run-flow a bit but the hosts are in the driver's seat. Smriti Mandhana and Deepti Sharma are putting the bad balls away and need 56 runs with seven wickets in hand.

India Women need 54 runs in 48 balls

Mandhana holes out at long-off with England women back into this contest. The set batter was looking for a biggie there but could not connect and handed England women their fourth wicket.

If India women win it from this position, they have to attribute it to Deepti Sharma's clever innings. The all-rounder is playing gem of a knock, with ones and twos and some odd fours in-between the overs.

The game is slipping away from the hands of hosts. It is getting bad for India right now. They have lost a couple of wickets and scored only 15 runs in the last three overs.

India Women need 27 runs in 18 balls

India have lost the game by four runs. A very meek response in the final few overs and India have lost this match where they needed almost run-a-ball for the majority of this chase.

At one point, India seemed set to make history with their highest-ever successful chase in ODIs. However, things turned around quite quickly towards the end as runs dried up and India finished four short of England's total.

India now have faced three losses in the last three games. They have lost to South Africa, Australia and now to England. If they are to qualify for the semifinals, they will have to beat New Zealand in their next game. The winner of that match will qualify for the semifinal.
