England leg-spinner Adil Rashid has created an unwanted T20I bowling record during the on-going 2nd semi-final of the ICC T20 World Cup 2026 against India at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai.
Adil Rashid was taken to the cleaners by the Indian batters throughout the course of the 1st innings in front of a jampacked crowd.
Although he took two important wickets of Ishan Kishan (39 off 18) and Suryakumar Yadav (11 off 6), Rashid still had a forgettable night out with the ball.
| Bowler | Team | Innings | Sixes Conceded |
| Adil Rashid | England | 138 | 203 |
| Ish Sodhi | New Zealand | 133 | 184 |
| Tim Southee | New Zealand | 123 | 142 |
| Adam Zampa | Australia | 112 | 141 |
| Mitchell Santner | New Zealand | 129 | 140 |
He leaked 41 runs in his 4-over spell at an economy rate of 10.25, conceding 6 boundaries in total - .2 fours and 4 sixes.
By conceding those four maximums, Adil Rashid became the only bowler with 200+ sixes leaked in T20 cricket. He conceded his 200th, 201st and 202nd six against Shivam Dube, while Suryakumar Yadav clubbed Rashid for his 203rd.
Three Lions skipper Harry Brook won the toss and decided to bowl first in what looks like a lush green top surface. India quickly got into the act as soon as the match began with Sanju Samson unleashing his power hitting ability and scoring 89 off just 42.
Abhishek Sharma had another forgettable night, scoring 9 off 7 while Ishan Kishan got out after a blistering 22-ball 36-run knock. Skipper Suryakumar Yadav amassed 11 off 6.
At the time of writing, India were 238/6 in 19.1 overs with all-rounders Shivam Dube and Hardik Pandya decimating the English bowlers to post a supposed 250+ total on the board.
