Ahead of the 4th Test, India have been jolted by the news of Nitish Kumar Reddy missing the entirety of the series due to injury as well as Arshdeep Singh, who will miss the fourth Test. However, the management have added Anshul Kamboj to the squad.
Kambhoj has played in 24 first-class matches, claiming 79 scalps at 22.88 alongside a couple of fifers.
England will likely to retain the same team albeit there will be no Shoaib Bashir in the squad after the spinner injured his left hand in the third Test.
India Vs England, 4th Test: Manchester Pitch Report
Manchester surface remains one of the most scariest ever, offering pace and bounce at the same time. However, with time the Old Trafford track has slowed down and has offered assistance to spinners. Former England fast bowler Steven Harmison reckons a spell of rain could help liven things in the 4th Test.
In an interaction with ESPNCricinfo, he said, "Old Trafford, if it is going to rain anywhere and it hasn't rained in England for about three months, if it is going to rain anywhere, it will be Manchester as it always does. We could do with some rain because we could do with some lively surface.
“The first-class pitches in Manchester in the last 18 months or two years haven't been like they were 10 or 15 years ago. They were bouncy pitches. They were hard and aggressive with a reverse swing. They are all very similar now. They are very slow, very flat.”
