Early breakthrough for India A!! Saima Thakor cleans up the stumps of Yusra Amir, and Pakistan A lose their opener in the very first over. The batter departs for just one, and Omaima Sohail comes on.
Sohail's innings lasts for just four balls as she departs for one, being caught by Madiwala off Jintimani Kalita's delivery. Eman Naseer, the new batter, opens her account with a boundary off the first ball. However, Naseer's short stay comes to an end just two balls later as she is run out by Anushka Sharma. Captain Hafsa Khalid is the new batter.
The Pakistan A innings is absolutely collapsing on itself. Saima gets her second wicket of the night as she bowls out Khalid. The PAK-A skipper departs after just one, and Huraina Sajjad comes on as the new batter.
Skipper Radha Yadav strikes for India A as she traps Sajjad on the pads, and the umpire's finger goes up. The Pakistan A batter departs for just two, and on comes Gull Rukh, who gets off the mark.
Gull Rukh ends the ninth over with the first six of the Pakistan A innings. However, Radha Yadav strikes again in the next over, taking the return catch off her own delivery to dismiss Shawaal Zulfiqar. She departs after a well-made, considering the circumstances, 23 off 29. Waheeda Akhtar, the new batter, hits a four off her first ball.
Anosha Nair, who came on after the dismissal of Waheeda Akhtar by Prema Rawat, is trying to build a partnership with Gull Rukh at the other end. The eighth-wicket stand is now worth 21 runs off 24 balls.
Anosha hits Radha for a boundary off the first ball but is run out just two balls later after a good throw by Humairaa. Anosha departs for run-a-ball 17, and Neha Sharmin comes on as the new batter for Pakistan A.
Gull Rukh's lone stand comes to an end as she is trapped on the pads by Rawat, and she departs having made 21 off 28. Momnina Riasat, the new batter, gets a boundary, but she is stumped at the end of the 19th over by Mamatha. Pakistan A are all out for a measly 93.
What a start for Pakistan A! Waheeda Akhtar gets the scalp of Humairaa Kazi off the very first delivery of the innings. The India A batter departs for a golden duck, and Anushka Sharma comes on in her place.
At the end of the powerplay, India A are racing away with the chase. Despite the early setback, Vrinda and Anushka have played fearless cricket under not-so-easy conditions, and their partnership – worth 63 runs – means that India need just 30 more to win.
Anushka Sharma's good knock comes to an end as she is caught by Zulfiqar, and Riasat gets her first wicket. The India A batter departs after a controlled knock of 24 off 26 balls. Tejal Hasabnis comes to the crease. Meanwhile, Vrinda completes a superb half century in just 25 balls.
Tejal completes the chvase in style, hitting a boundary to take India A over the line with almost half of the innings left to play. An eight wicket win for the defending champions, and that too over their arch rivals.
