India A won the toss and elected to bat first against Bangladesh A.
India A off to a slow start as Bangladesh women have been on point with their line and lengths in the first two overs. However, Vrinda Dinesh and Nandini Kashyap have been in good form and can turn things anytime in the powerplay.
IND-A 4/0 (2)
Out! Fatema Jahan castles the in-form Vrinda Dinesh, who dpearts after scoring 19 off 17 balls. That's big blow for India in the all-important final. Anushka Sharma joins Nandini Kashyap on the crease.
IND-A 32/1 (6)
India are in trouble in the final as they lose three wickets in quick succession. First Nandini Kashyap gets run-out followed by Minnu Mani's casual shot leading to her downfall. Tejal Hasabnis joins Anushka Sharma on the crease.
IND-A 35/3 (7)
Radha Yadav and Tejal Hasabnis have stitched an unbeaten 26-run stand for the 5th wicket to stop the flow of wickets. India need both these batter to stay for a long as possible, if they want to get to a competitive score.
IND 70/4 (13)
After the initial mini-collapse, Indian team has finally marching towards putting a decent total on board courtesy to Radha Yadav and Tejal Hasabnis' unbeaten 63-run stand for the fifth wicket. They would now look to score quickly towards the end to get their team to a decent total.
IND-A 107/4 (16)
It was a tame end to the Indian innings despite the 69-run stand between Radha Yadav (36) and Tejal Hasabnis, who remained unbeaten on 51 off 34 balls. However, given the start India had, it could be termed as a competitive total for BAN to chase down in a final on a tricky wicket.
IND 134/7 (20)
Not a good start by Bangladesh as they lost the wicket of Ishma Tanjim for 3, who was dismissed by Saima Thakor. Sarmin Sultana joins Shamima Sultana on the crease.
BAN-A 12/1 (2)
Bangladesh are half-way into their innings and have lost their top three batter for runs. Sarmin Sultana was the last batter to depart for 18. Radha Yadav got the 3rd wicket by getting Sultana caught by Rawat. BAN still need 87 runs off 60 balls.
BAN-A 48/3 (10)
Bangladesh are in hot waters in the final as they have already lost five wickets, while still needing 62 off 30 balls. The onus is now on skipper Fahima Khatun (14*) and Farjana Easmin (6*) to take BAN home. As we were writting the update, BAN have lost another wicket as Fahima Khatun depart on the bowling off Minnu Mani.
BAN-W 73/6 (15)
That's game set and match for India. Prema Rawat sends Shorifa Khatun back to bundle Bangladesh for a paltry 88, resulting in a 46-run victory for India as they lift the Women's Asia Cup Rising Stars title.
That's a wrap from our end. We'll be back with another blog soon, until then, bye bye.
