Ishan Kishan's blistering knock of 77 paved the way for India to set up a target of 176 runs. In response, Pakistan lasted for just 18 overs as they were bowled out for 114 with Hardik Pandya, Jasprit Bumrah, Axar Patel and Varun Chakravarthy picking 2 wickets each while Kuldeep Yadav and Tilak Varma scalped 1 each.

Welcome to everyone once again for the Afghanistan Vs UAE, ICC T20 World Cup 2026 live coverage from the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi. The match is underway with Aryansh Sharma and Muhammad Waseem opening for the Emiratis. Azmatullah Omarzai bowls first over.

Early breakthrough for Afghanistan in this match as Aryansh Sharma departs for a 4-ball duck in the first over bowled by Azmatullah Omarzai. Skipper Muhammad Waseem is yet to face a bowl and he has been joined by Alishan Sharafu.

Both the UAE openers have been sent back to the dressing room but the Emiratis have recovered well after the early scare. Alishan Sharafu and Sohaib Khan are currently at the crease, batting at strike rates of over 120.

Alishan Sharafu had to depart after playing a fantastic knock of 40 runs off 31 as he received his marching orders from Mujeeb Ur Rahman. However, Sohaib Khan is going strong at 45 off 35 while the new batter in - Syed Haider has already smacked 13 off 9.

What an innings fro Sohaib Khan as he goes past the 50-run mark and has significantly increased UAE's run-rate, which is currently at 7.87. The Emiratis are eyeing a target of 160-170 with 2 overs still to go.

UAE have been restricted to a total of 160 in what was a great recovery from the Emirati middle and lower-middle order. Terrific knock from Sohaib Khan and Haider Ali towards the end.

In the 15th over of the 1st innings, Afghanistan skipper Rashid Khan became the first bowler ever to register 700 wickets in the shortest format of the game across the international and franchise circuits.

He stretched his lead at the top by dismissing UAE batter Muhammad Arfan for a 2-ball duck.

We are back underway for the 1st innings of this crucial Group D encounter but the Afghans have suffered an early setback. Opening batter Rahmanullah Gurbaz has been removed from the crease by Junaid Siddique for a 2-ball duck.

Gulbadin Naib, who came in at number 3 today, is the latest to depart for a score of 13 off 12. Opening batter Ibrahim Zadran is looking in good touch as he has scored 29 off 23 thus far and has been joined by number 4 Sediqullah Atal.

The Emirati bowling attack strikes again as Jawadullah uproots the off-stump of Sediqullah with a terrific delivery. Although it missed the yorker mark, it still sneaked in under Sediq's bat and hits the stumps. Darwish Rasooli comes on as the new batter.

Zadran brings up a well-earned half-century in just 37 balls – his 14th in the format. If he bats through for 20 overs, Afghanistan can overcome the hole that they have dug for themselves.

This is the wicket that UAE wanted!! Zadran departs after a well-made 53 off 41, but he will disappointed to have thrown his wicket away in this manner. It was a slower delivery from Arfan, and Zadran's shot has no power underneath. A good running catch from Waseem.

UAE finally manage to break the partnership!! The stand between Rasooli and Omarzai was running away with the chase, but Siddique gets the breakthrough by uprooting Rasooli's stumps. However, it seems too little, too late, with Mohammad Nabi coming on to wrap up the chase. Afghanistan need 17 more.

UAE pushed them all the way despite having a below-par total, but at the end, Afghanistan get over the line courtesy of a terrific performance from Azmatullah Omarzai. The batter seals up the chase with a thumping boundary. Afghanistan win by five wickets.

Azmatullah Omarzai has been adjudged man of the match for his bowling figures of 4/15 and 40* off 21. The victory takes Afghanistan to 3rd in the points table due to a better net run-rate.
