We are into the fourth match of the day and it is India's Hariharan Amsakarunan/MR Arjun facing Canadian pair Ty Alexander Lindeman/Nyl Yakura. This is the first meeting between the two pairs. A lot at stake.
And India have just won the first set 21-7. What a performance. Hariharan and Arjun have been absolutely clinical, precise, and frankly, relentless. The Canadian pair simply couldn't find answers.
And that's it! India have won it 21-7, 21-15. Hariharan and Amsakarunan absolutely dominated from start to finish. The Canadian pair simply had no answers. Two straight sets, clinical and precise. That's exactly the kind of display that sends a message in a tournament like this.
And we're underway in Men's Singles now. Kidambi Srikanth from India, world ranked 30, taking on Canada's Joshua Nguyen, world ranked 77. This is a proper matchup on paper - Srikanth is the clear favourite here. And look, we can see HS Pronnay sitting courtside coaching his teammate.
That's the kind of support that makes a difference in these big tournament moments. Let's see how Srikanth responds with that backing.
Kidambi Srikanth is absolutely dominating out there. He's leading 8-4 and looking very comfortable. The Canadian Joshua Nguyen is really struggling to find his rhythm against the Indian.
Srikanth is working the court beautifully - he's getting to the net first, controlling the rally pace, and punishing anything loose. Nguyen is getting dragged around and making mistakes with his footwork.
This match is going to come down to who can avoid the unforced errors. Srikanth is dictating play with his superior movement and court positioning, but Nguyen is still in this if he can tighten up his defensive game and be more clinical with his shot placement.
Right, Kidambi Srikanth extends his lead to 12-8 and he's just forced Joshua Nguyen into a miss with a brilliant attacking shot down the line. And look, Prannoy is immediately leaning over from the sidelines, giving Srikanth some instruction.
You can see the intensity in his coaching - he's pointing out what's working, what tactical adjustments need to happen. Srikanth is absorbing it all, nodding, understanding exactly what his teammate is telling him.
That's the kind of real-time coaching that can shift momentum. Nguyen is struggling to find any rhythm here, making unforced errors, getting pulled wide by Srikanth's placement. The Indian is controlling the rallies from the back of the court and finishing at the net with precision.
And that's game one! Kidambi Srikanth takes it 21-17. Srikanth controlled the rallies, worked the court intelligently, and held his nerve in the closing stages. His movement and placement were too good for Nguyen. The Canadian fought back but couldn't quite bridge the gap.
Game 2 is underway and Kidambi is already out to a 2-0 lead. He's doing good, really sharp out there. The footwork is excellent - he's getting into position quickly, giving himself time to set up his shots properly. Nguyen's struggling to keep pace with Srikanth's movement around the court.
Along with the Indian men, the women’s team in the Uber Cup is ready for the fight too. Right after Match 5, we will see them in action, so do follow our Uber Cup India vs Denmark blog.
And that's it! Kidambi Srikanth wins game two and takes the match. India wins the tie 4-1. Despite a losing start in the tie with Lakshya Sen going down in the first singles match, India have bounced back strongly.
They've won the next four matches without much of a struggle and sealed the tie. That's a statement performance from the Indian team. After that early setback, they showed real character and quality to dominate the rest of the matches. The depth in their squad is showing - when one player falters, the others step up and get the job done.
