The China Open 2025 is set to take place in Jiangsu from 22 July to 27 July. The event, hosted at Changzhou’s Olympic Sports Centre Gymnasium, will be the 34th edition of the BWF Super 1000 event, and will feature players like world champion Kunlavut Vitidsarn and Paris gold medalist An Se-young.

As a BWF World Tour Super 1000 event, the China Open is the highest tier of competition in badminton outside the World Tour Finals. Players will be competing for a massive USD 2 million prize pool. Out of that, the singles winner will be awarded USD 140,000 and the doubles winner will earn USD 148,000.

Along with that, 13,500 BWF points will be up for grabs for the winner. The runners-up will get 11,500 points.

India has strong representation in the tournament despite some big-name withdrawals. PV Sindhu and Lakshya Sen, who are competing in the Japan Open 2025, will take part in the singles draw, and Satwiksairaj-Chirag will be in action in the men’s doubles event.
