Western Disturbance Triggers Light Rain In Various Parts Of Rajasthan

In the last 24 hours, state capital Jaipur recorded a maximum temperature of 24.6 degrees Celsius and minimum of 12.4 degrees Celsius.

Parts of Rajasthan recorded 10 to 30 mm rainfall in the last 24 hours due to an active western disturbance leading to a slight drop in temperatures, a MeT department official said on Sunday.

Sahada of Bhilwara, Relmagra of Rajsamand, Dabok of Udaipur, Bheem of Rajsamand recorded 30 mm rainfall in the last 24 hours. Various other places across the state recorded 10 to 20 mm rainfall during the same period. 

According to the MeT department forecast, rainfall in the state is expected to continue for the next 24 hours. 

"Western Disturbance has become active in most parts of the state today. This round of rain will continue for the next 24 hours. On January 30, there is a possibility of rain only in the north-eastern part (Bharatpur division in Jaipur) and, the weather will remain dry in all other parts,  Radheshyam Sharma, Jaipur MeT director said.  

Sangaria of Hanumangarh was the coldest with 1.8 degrees Celsius followed by Fatehpur that recorded a low of 4.8 degrees Celsius. Maximum and minimum temperatures in all the major cities in the state are on the rise from last three to four days.
