The NCLT approved a repayment plan under which creditors will receive Rs 6.5 crore against admitted claims of Rs 22,006.57 crore.
LIC Housing Finance-led dissenting creditors opposed the plan, arguing that the proposed recovery was too small and that the plan remained tentative.
Congress general secretary Jairam Ramesh criticised the decision, describing the massive haircut as a “mundan” and a “complete mockery” of the IBC.
