Prime Minister Narendra Modi on February 4 took a jibe at Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi and Aam Aadmi Party Chief Arvind Kejriwal. In his response to the Motion of Thanks, PM Modi, without naming Kejriwal said some leaders focused on jacuzzi and stylish showers, while his government focused on providing water to every household.

He also lashed out at the Gandhi and other members of opposition, and alleged that some parties were fooling and betraying the youth. Invoking the 'AAP-da' (disaster) acronym, he alleged these parties did not do anything for the youth.

Taking a jibe at Gandhi, PM Modi said some people are openly speaking the language of urban naxals and asserted that those who "declare a war" against the Indian State can neither understand the Constitution nor about the country's unity.

Those who walk around with Constitution in pockets, do they know how they forced Muslim women to live in hardship. We brought in the triple talaq law to give right to them," Modi said. Four Crore Houses, 25 Crore Lifted Out Of Poverty

In his address, he also said that the government has given 4 crore house to poor people. “Till now the poor have been given 4 crore houses...Those who have lived difficult lives only understand that what is the value of getting a house...The women in the past suffered a lot due to the lack of a toilet system...Those who have these facilities cannot understand "the problems of those who are suffering," he said.

"For five decades, you heard slogans of poverty eradication, but now, 25 crore people have been lifted out of poverty. When schemes are implemented with dedication, a sense of belonging, and deep sensitivity, this transformation happens." "People who are connected to the ground, who understand its realities, and dedicate their lives to it, inevitably bring about change. We did not just give empty slogans to the poor; we delivered real development. Understanding the struggles of the poor, the hardships of the common man, and the challenges of the middle class requires genuine commitment. And, sadly, I must say that some people simply do not have it," he added.

Development Over Sheeshmahal

PM Modi also said: “We used money to build nation rather than building 'Sheeshmahal', said PM We have used people's money to build a nation, not any 'Sheesh Mahal': PM Modi targets Arvind Kejriwal in Lok Sabha. .PM Modi said that in the last 10 years, income tax has been lowered, benefiting the middle class. He also highlighted that before 2014, tax slabs were burdensome for the people, with the slab in 2013 set at Rs 2 lakh, whereas it is now set at Rs 12 lakh.
