Northern Winds Cause Mercury To Dip In Rajasthan

Most places in the state recorded the minimum temperature below 10 degrees Celsius and the maximum temperature below 28 degrees Celsius, Jaipur Meteorological Centre In-charge, Radheshyam Sharma said.

Minimum temperature dropped by 4 to 6 degree Celsius in some places in Rajasthan due to the influence of northern winds, a MeT department official said.

Fatehpur recorded a minimum of minus 0.5 degrees Celsius last night. Most places in the state recorded the minimum temperature below 10 degrees Celsius and the maximum temperature below 28 degrees Celsius, Jaipur Meteorological Centre In-charge, Radheshyam Sharma said.

In the next 48 hours, there is a strong possibility of three to four degrees rise in  temperature due to an anti-cyclonic winds over the area of South-Western Rajasthan and adjoining Arabian Sea, he said. The weather is likely to remain dry in the state in the coming days with the maximum temperature in the Jaisalmer-Barmer region rising to around 34-35 degrees Celsius, Sharma said.

Churu recorded a minimum of 3.7 degrees Celsius followed by Chittorgarh and Karauli at 4.2 degree Celsius and 4.3 degree Celsius respectively.

The minimum temperature in Sangaria was recorded at 4.5 degree Celsius, Bikaner at 4.6 degree Celsius, Bhilwara at 5.3 degrees, Pilani 5.8 degree while other places recorded the minimum temperature between 6.2 to 11.4 degree Celsius.
