Plasma Therapy Showing Good Results Against COVID-19. 1 Patient Cured: Arvind Kejriwal

The Delhi CM said the plasma therapy is in a trial stage and has shown good results initially and therefore the government will persist with them for now.

Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Friday informed that a COVID-19 positive patient, whose condition was critical, recovered after undergoing the plasma therapy and has been discharged from the hospital.

The Delhi CM said the plasma therapy is in a trial stage and has shown good results initially and therefore the government will persist with them it for now.

He said the AAP-led government is currently conducting 2,300 COVID-19 tests per 1 million people in Delhi.

Kejriwal added that at least 1,100 people who have recovered from COVID-19 will donate plasma to save more lives.

Speaking of stranded students in Rajasthan's Kota, he said the Delhi government is sending 40 buses to bring students back.

"Students returning from Kota (Rajasthan) will have to go into self-quarantine for 14 days," he said. 

Kejriwal further said that free ration being provided to the needy in Delhi will be doubled to 10 kg.

Meanwhile, in the biggest-ever jump in deaths and cases in 24 hours, India has reported 73 fresh fatalities, the Ministry of Health and Family said on Friday morning, adding another 1,993 people had tested positive for the novel Coronavirus during the same period.
