G20 Summit 2023: President Biden To Reach Delhi Tomorrow; Presidential Cadillac 'The Beast' To Fly With Him Too

As per media reports, US President Biden is expected to land in India on Friday at around 7pm and will head directly for a bilateral meeting with PM Modi upon arrival. Besides Biden's arrival, it has also been reported that the famous US Presidential Cadillac, popularly known as 'The Beast', will also be flown to India from the US.

As India is all set to host the most awaited global leaders' event of the year, the 18th G20 Summit, US President Joe Biden is scheduled to reach India on September 8 to take part in the multilateral leaders' summit. As per media reports, the US President will land in India on Friday at around 7pm and will head directly for a bilateral meeting with PM Modi upon arrival.

'The Beast' flying to India

Besides Biden's arrival, it has also been reported that the famous US Presdiental Cadillac, popularly known as 'The Beast',will also be flown to India from the US.

The official state car of the US President 'The Beast’ holds the reputation of being the world's strongest and safest bulletproof car under the guard of the United States Secret Service at all times.

It will be flown from the United States in a Boeing C-17 Globemaster III, a large military transport aircraft.

Elite security repertoire in place for President Biden

The US President's security repertoire has been categorised in to three different layers.  

The outermost layer deploys paramilitary force personnel while the intermediate layer would have commandos from India's Special Protection Group (SPG) and the innermost circle includes Secret Service agents.

The accommodations of President Biden and other US delegates are allocated to ITC Maurya Sheraton hotel where the staff will undergo meticuclous background checks. In a bid to ensure utmost safety, special access cards will be given to those who will visit the 14th floor, where Joe Biden will stay.

A special lift will be installed to reach the floor. About 400 rooms of this hotel have been booked.

Helicopters of the Air Force and the Indian Army will continuously circle in the sky to keep an eye on Delhi. The Army and National Security Guard (NSG) commandos will be present on these helicopters.

Anti-drone systems will be installed at many places. NSG and Army snipers will be deployed on high-rise buildings in Delhi.

The Delhi Police has been coordinating with the advance teams of different countries and their security requirements and concerns have been taken on board.
