Congress, CPI(M) Don’t Believe In Existence Of Ram, Krishna: Yogi At Tripura Poll Rally

Adityanath also alleged that the Congress and CPI(M) are trying to derail the development process which is at top speed now.

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Tuesday alleged the CPI(M) and the Congress, which are contesting the Tripura Assembly elections jointly, do not believe in the existence of Lord Ram or Krishna. These two parties also tried to block the construction of Kashi Vishwanath temple corridor and Ram Mandir in Uttar Pradesh, Adityanath claimed at an election rally in North Tripura’s Bagabassa.

The people of Tripura had witnessed the “misrule” of both communist and Congress regimes for many years, but the small northeastern state has recorded development for the first time under the BJP, Adityanath said at an election rally in North Tripura’s Bagabassa. The Congress and the CPI(M) mostly ruled Tripura, and the BJP came to power in 2018, ending the 25-year-long Left regime. They have decided to contest the February 16 assembly elections in an alliance.

“The Congress and Communists have always tried to block the construction of Kashi Vishwanath temple corridor. In Ayodhya also, they were the biggest barriers before the construction of the Ram Temple. They do not want to honour faith. They claimed that there was no existence of Ram or Krishna,” the senior BJP leader said. Now, the construction of the Ram Temple in Ayodhya is at the final stage, he said.

Adityanath also alleged that the Congress and CPI(M) are trying to derail the development process which is at top speed now. “I have seen Tripura before the 2018 Assembly elections and saw the lack of development across the state. It is the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi that brought development to the state,” he said.

Listing the welfare schemes of the government, Adityanath claimed that for the first time, the citizens are receiving benefits without any political consideration. “It was possible because of the double-engineered government,” he said. Attacking the grand old party, Adityanath said, “Corruption was at its peak when the Congress ruled the country. Coal scam, 2G scam and CWG scam took place during the Congress rule. Corruption became synonymous with the Congress.”

The double-engine government should continue for the betterment of the state, the UP chief minister said. Adityanath is scheduled to address three election rallies in Unakoti and West Tripura districts on Wednesday.
