CJP Convenor Abhijeet Dipke Booked In Latur Over Alleged Unauthorised School Entry

Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) convenor Abhijeet Dipke and party worker Ajinkya Shinde have been booked in Maharashtra’s Latur district for allegedly entering a government school without permission and disrupting official work. An FIR was registered at Ausa police station following a complaint by a teacher at the Zilla Parishad Urdu school in Jawali near Ausa.

What Are The Charges Against Dipke?

As reported by the Hindustan Times, according to the FIR, Dipke and other CJP workers entered the school premises without permission, interacted with students and questioned teachers about the condition of the school.

The complaint, filed by 53-year-old teacher Sayyed Shamshadbano Khairatali, alleges that the group obstructed educational and government work and threatened teachers.

Dipke is also accused of recording videos of the visit and posting them on social media. The complaint alleges that he attempted to defame the school by claiming that students from another school had been brought into its classrooms during his visit.

The accused have been booked under BNS Sections 132, 329(3), 351(2) and 356(2), relating to assault or criminal force against a public servant, house trespass, criminal intimidation and criminal defamation.

What Is CJP’s ‘School Thik Karo’ Campaign?

CJP members have been visiting government schools as part of their ‘School Thik Karo’ campaign, launched on August 15. The campaign aims to highlight shortcomings in infrastructure and other facilities in government schools and push for improvements in education.

The campaign was launched from Dipke’s native village in Hingoli, after which CJP members visited schools in several states.

The initiative has also faced opposition. A CJP team was allegedly attacked while visiting a government school in Jaipur’s Rampura Kanwarpura on Friday. In Mumbai, the civic education department has barred CJP volunteers from entering municipal schools without prior permission.
