​Shivangi Singh, Maiden Woman Rafale Pilot Of Indian Air Force, To Take Part In Exercise Orion In France

Shivangi Singh joined the Indian Air Force in 2017 and was commissioned into the IAF's second batch of women fighter pilots. Before flying Rafale, Shivangi also flew MiG-21 Bison aircraft.

Indian Air Force’s first woman pilot to fly the Rafale fighter aircraft, Shivangi Singh, is all set to participate in the multinational Exercise Orion in France alongside her fellow IAF teammates.

Shivangi is known to be the Rafale squadron's first woman fighter pilot, and is set to make history by flying the multi-role air dominance aircraft. Shivangi also flew MiG-21 Bison aircraft.

Hailing from Varanasi, back in 2017, Shivangi Singh joined the IAF and was commissioned into the second batch of women fighter pilots.

Shivangi is currently undergoing conversion training and will shortly become a part of the IAF's Golden Arrows squadron based out of Ambala in Haryana.

Shivangi Singh became the first woman fighter pilot to fly a Rafale after she was selected as a Rafale pilot following a stringent selection process in 2020.
