With their boldly confident approach evident in their original hit singles, (G)I-DLE has emerged as innovative pioneers among the latest generation of South Korean pop acts. Now, the girl group is taking a significant stride to maintain their leading position.

The K-pop girl group, (G)I-DLE, has collaborated with notable artists like Meghan Trainor and Ryan Tedder for their upcoming English EP, 'HEAT.' On September 19th, (G)I-DLE unveiled the tracklist for their debut English-language EP, 'HEAT.' This project will be spearheaded by the title track 'I Want That,' accompanied by the previously released 'I Do,' and three additional tracks.

'I Do' marks a noteworthy milestone as the first-ever original English single from the "K-Pop Stars to Watch." This heartfelt mid-tempo track strikes a distinctly different chord compared to the group's recent bold and lively hits like "Queencard," "Nxde," and "Tomboy." It shines through a sweet, emotional, and sing-along-friendly vocal performance by members Soyeon, Minnie, Miyeon, Yuqi, and Shuhua.

Notably, 'I Want That' has co-writing credits from OneRepublic's frontman, Ryan Tedder, in collaboration with Madison Love (known for Ava Max's 'Kings & Queens') and frequent TWICE songwriters Melanie Fontana and Michel "Lindgren" Schulz. Tedder is also recognized as a co-writer for 'Eyes Roll,' along with Meghan Trainor and four others. Furthermore, singer-songwriter Jon Bellion contributed to both the writing and production of 'Tall Trees,' alongside Scotty Dittrich (known for Bad Bunny's 'Moscow Mule').
(G)I-DLE is set to release 'HEAT' on October 5th at 5 pm PST / October 6th at 9 am KST. Originally slated for a September release, the EP was delayed by 88rising to ensure the highest quality.

Earlier this year, (G)I-DLE released their sixth Korean-language mini-album, 'I Feel,' led by the single 'Queencard,' which was recognized as one of the best K-pop songs of 2023 by NME. Currently, the girl group is in the midst of their 2023 'I am FREE-TY' world tour. Later this month, the quintet will perform two shows in Tokyo, Japan, before heading to Macau and Singapore in October.
