General Motors Starts Shipping Chevy Blazer EV, Reveals Price and Range

General Motors is getting ready to begin shipping its first Blazer EV SUVs. The first is the 2024 AWD RS variant, which will cost $60,215 and hit showrooms in August.

General Motors (GM) announced on Monday that it has started shipping the first 2024 Chevrolet Blazer EVs from its facility in Ramos Arizpe, Mexico. The company also revealed pricing and range projections for some of the SUV's trim models.
The vehicle will be available in three levels: rally sport (RS), luxury (LT), and super sport (SS). It revealed that the entry-level model will be the 2LT with front-wheel drive. The business also announced that it will make a "police pursuit" car available to law enforcement early next year.

GM, like most other automakers, began with its most expensive trim.Last year, the company unveiled the Blazer EV, stating that the base model would cost around $44,995. At the time, the firm stated that the 2LT FWD trim would cost around $47,595 and the RS FWD would cost around $51,995.

The RS all-wheel drive will be the first Blazer EV to enter dealer lots this summer, with a starting price of $60,215 and an anticipated range of 279 miles. Gloss black trim, a heads-up display, heated front and rear seats, ventilated front seats, and animated exterior lighting are just a few of the options available on this vehicle. Tax, title, license, dealer fees, and optional equipment are not included in the prices.

The RS with rear-wheel drive, a 320-mile range, and a few frills such as a Bose audio system will start at $61,790. The 2LT AWD, which starts at $56,715 and has a range of 279 miles, will have more features than the FWD version, such as a 17.7-inch-diagonal infotainment touchscreen and an 11-inch instrument cluster, heated front seats, a heated steering wheel, heated side mirrors, and wireless phone charging.

The RS rear-wheel drive and 2LT AWD versions will go on sale this autumn, according to the company. The SS version's production start date has been moved to April 2024.
