Author: Reenita Malhotra Hora

Reenita Malhotra Hora — often called the unapologetic Nora Ephron of South Asian storytelling — brings her signature blend of history, humor, and bold Indian soul to her award-winning novel, Vermillion Harvest – Playtime at the Bagh. Set against the haunting backdrop of Jallianwala Bagh, the novel poses a rare and piercing question: what does a girl choose when her father is a British officer, her mother Punjabi, and her lover a Muslim revolutionary?

With her trademark compassion for flawed characters and messy families, Reenita carves a fourth path — one shaped by courage, identity, and impossible choices. Through Aruna and Ayaz’s love story, she illuminates unheard voices of 1919 India: women living under scrutiny, British civilians navigating fear, and families grieving under colonial oppression. As political tensions escalate and Jallianwala Bagh draws near, the cracks between love and loyalty widen, revealing the emotional cost of choosing one’s truth.

Author: Ridhima Jain

When Ridhima stepped away from software engineering to embrace full-time motherhood, writing a novel was nowhere on her horizon. But encouragement from her husband, Sourabh, rekindled a passion she had quietly buried. Between school routines and raising twins, she carved out “golden hours” to build Nabhasa — the imaginary kingdom at the heart of her debut novel, Tryodasham.

Rooted in an ancient prophecy around the number thirteen, the story follows Prince Ekam as he confronts destiny, uncertainty, and emotional upheaval. Ridhima’s favourite thread is the tender bond between Ekam and his grandfather.

Author: Salil Bahl

Some people speak less and observe more, letting silence turn into words. Salil Bahl is one of them. An author and design academic, he spent years mentoring young creative minds as an Associate Professor of Design before taking a deliberate pause — a break that allowed him to listen inward and write his debut book, Numaish.

Writing began for Salil as an expression for thoughts that were hard to speak aloud. Each poem became a quiet release. Numaish meaning “to put on display” reflects that journey from introspection to revelation, an exhibition of what once stayed hidden.

A collection born from silence, reflection, and emotional truth, Numaish doesn’t follow a linear path. Open it anywhere and you’ll find a moment of love, longing, societal reflection, or spiritual clarity. What unites the poems is their honesty — gentle, piercing, and deeply human.

For those who feel deeply and speak softly, Numaish is a companion of the heart.

Author: Rudrani Gupta

Rudrani Gupta, also known as Rudrani Kumari, grew up in Dehri-On-Sone, Bihar, excelling academically while silently enduring years of sexual harassment that later spiralled into trauma and severe mental health struggles. Though conditioned to pursue science, her true passion lay in writing and speaking. Choosing English Literature at Delhi University marked her first act of rebellion against patriarchal expectations.

Inspired by writers like Kamala Das, Emily Dickinson, and Sylvia Plath, Rudrani began using her voice to confront gender violence and inequality. She worked as a reporter and opinion writer for SheThePeople, amplifying women’s stories across India. Despite ongoing battles with mental health, she is pursuing PhD in Patna University, focusing on the representation of women’s bodies in Dalit literature.

Bleeding Bangles is her boldest step yet a bildungsroman-in-poetry that exposes gender crimes, challenges tradition, and turns symbols meant to restrict women into metaphors of resistance. Through her work, Rudrani writes to reclaim power, identity, and freedom.
