Steve Carell was born in Concord, Massachusetts, as the youngest of four brothers. Raised in a middle-class family with a strong emphasis on humor, he found his passion for comedy at a young age. Carell attended Denison University in Ohio, where he participated in an improvisational comedy troupe. His early career consisted of minor roles in commercials, theater, and TV. In 1999, Carell's big break came when he joined The Daily Show, where he worked as a correspondent. His comedic genius caught the eye of filmmakers, leading to his breakout role in Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy (2004), followed by the hit film The 40-Year-Old Virgin (2005).
