The world's foremost authority on trade, Nobel contender and Columbia University legend Jagdish N Bhagwati also conceptualised India's economic reforms, a fact conceded by close friend Manmohan Singh. In a free-wheeling conversation with Paromita Shastri, he reaffirms his faith in India and warns against the dangers stale ideas still pose to reforms.
