The tech world is abuzz about a brutally honest look at living in India’s technology capital. The piece by Lizzie Chapman in Med­ium, with its humorous take, has gone viral. “How would you define the culture? Well, there is a room with artificial grass and every afternoon the Head of Product expenses ChaiPoint flasks for the team,” writes Chapman, according to whom nobody seems to be working, only attending pointless meetings. “The generator starts working and the afternoon is a blur of chai, Slack chats, WhatsApp meme sharing, chai, Facebook stalking and more chai.” That’s as clear an indication of troubled times ahead.
