How To Control The Shopping Bug

  • Carry a limited amount of cash with you and leave those credit cards home.
  • Don’t window-shop. That’s akin to going to a bar just to have a look if you’re a recovering alcoholic.
  • If you must window-shop, do it after stores have closed.
  • Make a shopping list and only buy what is on the list.
  • Stay away from advertising. Just remember they are only after your money.
  • Look the other way when you see the sign SALE.
  • Try taking a walk or exercise to control the urge to shop.
  • If you feel out of control, you probably are. Seek counselling, it’ll work out cheaper in the long run.
  • Remember too much of anything is not good.
