India is negotiating 8-9 more trade pacts that could add access to economies worth another $15 trillion in GDP, Commerce Minister Piyush Goyal said.
With nine FTAs signed in the past four years and earlier pacts, India now has preferential access to markets representing about $70 trillion in GDP.
Goyal said the planned agreements could cover around 75% of global trade, while urging greater investment in India’s data centres, manufacturing and AI sectors.
