Hari Hara Veera Mallu Director Reacts To Trolling On Pawan Kalyan’s Film For Poor VFX

Actor-politician Pawan Kalyan’s period action drama Hari Hara Veera Mallu, directed by Krish Jagarlamudi and Jyothi Krisna, debuted in theatres on July 24, with paid premieres on Wednesday. Though the film received positive response for the performances and action sequences, it faced criticism for the poor VFX and CGI. Jyothi Krisna, in an interview, called it a 'minor issue'.

In an interview with ABN, Jyothi, defending this film, said that the VFX shots weren't' 'that bad'. He also blamed the audience for nitpicking. "When they nitpicked, all they could find was that the CGI and VFX were bad in some places. No one could point out the story and screenplay, or say it’s boring, or that they can’t understand it. There are 4400 shots in the film that required CGI," he said.

However, he admitted the flaws saying that a few shots weren’t up to the mark, but said it wasn’t 'something huge'. "We needed to hold special premieres for which tickets were sold out, and they turned that minor issue into something major," he added.

Makers release HHVM with better VFX

After the criticism, the makers of HHVM released a better version of the movie, and audience saw the difference in the quality. On Sunday, July 27, makers shared a poster of the film on X and wrote, "BATTLE FOR DHARMA JUST GOT BIGGER. Updated & reloaded content across all screens for the BEST cinematic experience. #HariHaraVeeraMallu – IN CINEMAS NOW."

Those who watched the re-edited version of the film, claimed that a few VFX shots were deleted and few shots were updated.

HHVM also stars Bobby Deol as Aurangzeb, and Nidhhi Agerwal as Panchami. The film, which had a thunderous start at the box office, saw a significant drop in its earnings on its first Monday. It has crossed the Rs 70 crore mark in India.
