Hari Hara Veera Mallu Box Office Collection Day 2: Pawan Kalyan Starrer Witnesses A Sharp Drop On Its First Friday

Pawan Kalyan's Hari Hara Veera Mallu released in theatres on Thursday (July 24) and started its box office journey with Rs 34.75 crore. With paid premieres held on Wednesday evening, the film raked in Rs 44.20 crore net in India. On Friday, day 2, the collections saw a significant drop. However, it crossed the Rs 50 crore mark at the box office.

On day 2, the film witnessed a sharp dip of about 77%, as it only earned an estimated Rs 8 crore, as per industry tracker Sacnilk. The nett domestic box office total of the film stands at Rs 55.50 crore, with early previews of Rs 12.75 crore.

On Friday, Hari Hara Veera Mallu witnessed an overall 24.42% Telugu occupancy. Morning shows had 17.75% occupancy, and saw an improvement in the afternoon as it recorded 20.17% occupancy. The footfall further increased to 27.21% in the evening, and recorded the highest occupancy at 32.53% during the night shows.

Reportedly, Mahbubnagar witnessed the highest occupancy at 45.25%, followed by Warangal (31.50%) and Hyderabad (28.75%).

Pawan Kalyan starrer reportedly earned an estimated Rs 11 crore gross worldwide on day 1.

HHVM is said to be made on a whopping budget of Rs 300 crore. It is Kalyan's biggest opener. His previous releases Bro opened at Rs 30 crore, Bheemla Nayak opened at Rs 37.15 crore, and Vakeel Saab's opening day haul was Rs 40 crore.

Pawan Kalyan's comeback film failed to live up to the expectations of the audience and critics. On the day of release, the actor shared a post on X (formerly Twitter) that read: "The Jizya tax, a punitive levy imposed by Mughal emperor Aurangzeb on Hindus for practicing their faith, stands as a stark symbol of oppression, yet historians have long softened its brutality. Hari Hara Veera Mallu boldly unmasks this injustice, exposing the erasure of Hindu suffering and the looting of India’s wealth, like the Kohinoor’s theft. With unwavering resolve, this saga celebrates Sanatana Dharma and the courage of our unsung heroes who defied tyranny."

Directed by Krish Jagarlamudi and Jyothi Krisna, the action drama also starred Bobby Deol, and Nidhhi Agerwal, in pivotal roles.
