Sitaare Zameen Par Advance Booking Surpasses Rs 1 Crore; Aamir Khan Starrer Trailing His Previous Film Laal Singh Chaddha

Bollywood actor Aamir Khan's is all set to return to the big screen after three years, with Sitaare Zameen Par, which is all set to arrive in theatres on June 20. The advance booking details are here and it seems that the film will have a decent start on the first day of its release.

The advance booking for Sitaare Zameen Par opened two days before its release, on late Tuesday, June 17, night. As per a report in Sacnilk, Sitaare Zameen Par advance booking for its opening day crossed Rs 1 crore around 9 am on Thursday. It has received booking of Rs 1.09 crore till 11 am and if we include the block bookings, the collection is Rs 3.7 crore, selling 42,021 tickets across 6,834 shows nationwide.

The film will be screened in over 6,000 shows across India.

Sitaare Zameen Par is trailing Aamir's previous film Laal Singh Chaddha. The 2022 film raked in Rs 5.52 crore in advance booking gross.

It is also trailing other releases of 2025, including Sunny Deol's Jaat (Rs 2.37 crore), Akshay Kumar's Kesari Chapter 2 (Rs 1.84 crore), Salman Khan's Sikandar (Rs 10.09 crore) and Akshay Kumar's Housefull 5 (Rs 8.02 crore).

It is unlikely that Sitaare Zameen Par will cross the advance booking numbers of the above mentioned films.

Aamir Khan has rejected an offer of Rs 120 crore from streaming platform, Amazon Prime Video for its OTT release. So, if the box office collections are not up to the mark, the film will incur a huge loss.

Directed by RS Prasanna, Sitaare Zameen Par is a spiritual sequel to the 2007 hit film Taare Zameen Par. It also stars Genelia D'souza.

The film has been produced by Aamir Khan Productions, and has 10 debutants- Aroush Datta, Gopi Krishna Varma, Samvit Desai, Vedant Sharma, Ayush Bhansali, Ashish Pendse, Rishi Shahani, Rishabh Jain, Naman Mishra, and Simran Mangeshkar.
