Shubhneet Singh Aka Shubh’s ‘Still Rollin’ India Tour Gets Cancelled

After celebs like Virat Kohli, Hardik Pandya and KL Rahul unfollow Shubhneet Singh, BoAT pulls out their sponsorship from his India tour called ‘Still Rollin’. BookMyShow took to social media to announce the news of the tour getting canned.

Just recently singer-rapper Shubhneet Singh was unfollowed on social media by celebs like Virat Kohli, Hardik Pandya and KL Rahul. Now, as a major shock comes the news of his India tour getting cancelled. BookMyShow, the ticketing giant, took to social media to share the news with all of its followers. This has left fans of Shubhneet Singh sad, who were eagerly awaiting to watch the singer-rapper perform live on stage in India. The tour was supposed to start on September 23.

It so happened that BoAT, the electronic giant, pulled out its sponsorship of Shubhneet Singh’s tour. With one of the prime sponsors walking out, it was just a matter of time before the tour was going to get cancelled, and eventually, a few hours later, the news was shared on social media of the tour being canned.

Explaining its decision, boAT wrote on social media, “At boAt, while our commitment to the incredible music community runs deep, we are first and foremost a true Indian brand. When we became aware of the remarks made by artist Shubh earlier this year, we chose to withdraw our sponsorship from the tour.”

The entire issue germinated when Shubhneet Singh took to social media and allegedly shared a post captioned as ‘Pray For Punjab’ and posted a picture of India which didn’t show quite a few states of India as part of India. This created unrest among people as to why he was allegedly sharing such a map of India. This was coupled with the recent comment of Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau on Hardeep Singh Nijjar’s killing at a gurudwara in Surrey, Vancouver.

For the unversed, Shubhneet Singh rose to popularity after the massive success of his single, ‘We Rollin’. With the same name, he released an album earlier this year, which also attained great success and topped the music charts at quite a number of places.
