‘Indian Idol 14’ will have a Shatrughan Sinha-themed episode on Saturday. The episode will be graced by the actor himself. In the episode, the contestants will also reveal secrets about each other in the ‘Khaamosh Khabrein’ segment which will add an element of fun to this singing reality show. But apart from all this fun, Shatrughan Sinha will also reveal some unknown details about his daughter.

Speaking on the show, Shatrughan Sinha revealed that Sonakshi had completed a fashion design course and had no interest in joining Bollywood. However, the Khan brothers had come to their house to offer her the role of ‘Dabangg.’ Shatrughan Sinha said, “Initially, she didn't want to venture into films; she had completed a fashion designing course. But when the Khans came to our residence and said that they wanted to cast Sonakshi for the role, assuring us that it would be a good role, Sonakshi agreed to it too. And she became an overnight star, there's no doubt about that.”

He added that he was thankful for the Khans to offer Sonakshi the lead role in their films. He said, “Emotionally, it's very natural that I am attached to this film because not only was my daughter the heroine in both films, but after years, if someone emerged as a star overnight, in the truest sense, it's Sonakshi from Dabangg 1. And for this, I am very grateful to Salman Khan, Arbaaz Khan, Salim Khan, and the entire family because they came and asked for her to star in the film.”

Sonakshi Sinha made her Bollywood debut in ‘Dabangg’ in 2010.
