Love & War New Release Date Announced: SLB's Love Saga With Ranbir, Alia And Vicky To Hit Theatres In January 2027

Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Love & War has finally got a new release date. It is now set to arrive on Republic Day weekend in 2027.

Billed as India’s biggest romantic spectacle, the epic romance stars Ranbir Kapoor, Vicky Kaushal and Alia Bhatt in lead roles.

On Friday, Bhansali Productions shared the new release date of Love & War on social media. It will debut in cinemas on January 21, 2027.

Love & War is the ambitious romantic drama by Sanjay Leela Bhansali after Gangubai Kathiawadi (2022). Like his previous films, it will have an impressive storytelling and visually rich cinematic world, with both scale and emotional depth.

With the narrative and emotional intensity, the film promises to be one of the biggest romantic spectacles in Indian cinema.

Earlier, the film was announced with a release date on Christmas 2025. Later, reports stated that it was pushed to March 2026 around Eid. Recently, reports claimed that it had been postponed to 2027.

Earlier, Pinkvilla reported that Love & War had been pushed, stating that "a significant portion of the shoot is still pending." The report also claimed that VFX work and editing of aerial action sequences will take more time.

Love & War is reportedly mounted on a grand scale. The portal has also quoted a source saying that Bhansali is planning to go global with the upcoming film, as he will shoot the climax scene in Sicily, Italy. "It’s planned as a massive schedule across the city, making this one of the grandest shoots of the film," the source said.

The film marks Alia's second collaboration with SLB, as well as Vicky and Ranbir. We can't wait to see what magic the trio unfolds on screen under Bhansali's direction.
