About Flesh of the Gods

According to Deadline, Flesh of the Gods follows married couple Raoul (Moura) and Alex (Stewart) of ’80s Los Angeles. They "descend each evening from their luxury skyscraper condo and head into an electric nighttime realm. When they cross paths with the mysterious and enigmatic Nameless and her hard-partying cabal, Raoul and Alex are seduced into a glamorous, surrealistic world of hedonism, thrills and violence."

Moura scripted history with Kleber Mendonça Filho's The Secret Agent by becoming the first Brazilian nominated for the Academy Award for Best Actor. He also became the first Brazilian to win a Golden Globe for acting and an award for Best Actor at Cannes.

With Flesh of the Gods, we are excited to see what new he brings to the table. Also, we are looking forward to his on-screen chemistry with The Twilight Saga alum.

Andrew Kevin Walker of Se7en has penned the script, with a story from Cosmatos and Walker. Adam McKay and Betsy Koch have served as the producers for HyperObject Industries, alongside Jonas Katzenstein and Maximilian Leo for Germany’s augenschein Filmproduktion, and Stewart and Maggie McLean for Nevermind Pictures.

According to Variety, earlier Cosmatos had said, “Like Los Angeles itself, ‘Flesh of the Gods’ inhabits the liminal realm between fantasy and nightmare.”

“Both propulsive and hypnotic, ‘Flesh’ will take you on a hot rod joy ride deep into the glittering heart of hell.”
