From ‘The Crown S6’ Part 2 To ‘Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour’, OTT Releases That You Can Stream This Week

Following some impressive films and shows last week, including Zoya Akhtar’s ‘The Archies’, musical thriller ‘Chamak’ and Pankaj Tripathi’s ‘Kadak Singh’, it’s finally time to add new releases to your watch list this week. From refreshing OTT shows to films across romance, horror, action genre, there’s everything for everyone in the entertainment realm this week.

The highlight this week on the OTT space is ‘The Crown Season 6: Part 2’, which is the concluding season of the Netflix series, and showcases the highs and lows of Queen Elizabeth II's reign. Additionally, there is ‘Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour’, and more.

‘THE CROWN’ SEASON 6: PART 2 - 14 December, Netflix

The final season of the show stars Imelda Staunton as Queen Elizabeth II, Elizabeth Debicki as Princess Diana, Ed McVey as Prince William, Luther Ford as Prince Harry, Meg Bellamy as Kate Middleton, and Jonathan Pryce as Prince Phillip. It showcases the succeeding years to Princess Diana’s death. While Part 1 released on November 16, Part 2 of the sixth season would be out on December 14.

‘DETECTIVE KNIGHT: INDEPENDENCE’ - 15 December, Lionsgate Play

The end to this trilogy stars Bruce Willis as Detective James Knight and a last-minute assignment on Independence Day makes him run a race against time. Would he be able to stop an unbalanced EMT worker posing as a cop? Watch the show for more.

‘CAROL & THE END OF THE WORLD’ - 15 December, Netflix

The much-awaited series explores the life of Carol Kohl (played by Martha Kelly), an uneasy and reserved woman. It shows how she deals with a sense of displacement amidst a self-centred society while the Earth faces imminent destruction from a mysterious planet. 

‘TAYLOR SWIFT: THE ERAS TOUR’ - 13 December, Apple TV+

This documentary is more like a concert film opportunity for Swifties, as it gives a cinematic perspective of the Eras tour. Featuring select performances from Taylor Swift's 3.5-hour tour setlist, this project includes all the iconic songs such as Lover, Miss Americana & the Heartbreak Prince, Cruel Summer, The Man, and more.

THE FREELANCER: THE CONCLUSION - 15 December, Disney+ Hotstar

Starring Anupam Kher and Mohit Raina, the concluding part of the series is based on the book-- A Ticket to Syria by Shirish Thorat. Directed by Bhav Dhulia, it stars Kashmira Pardeshi, Sushant Singh, John Kokken, Gauri Balaji, Navneet Malik, Manjiri Faddnis, Sarah Jane Dias amongst others.
