Fans Say, 'No SRK No Don' As They Are Upset Over Reports Of Ranveer Singh Replacing Shah Rukh Khan In 'Don 3'

Reportedly, Ranveer Singh has replaced Shah Rukh Khan in Farhan Akhtar's 'Don 3'. The third part of the franchise was announced today (August 8).

On Tuesday (August 8), Farhan Akhtar finally announced the third part of 'Don 3' with a video. The cast is not revealed yet but it has been reported that Ranveer Singh is the new Don in the third instalment. Yes, it is said that Shah Rukh Khan has been replaced by Ranveer in 'Don 3'. There are mixed reactions to it but fans of SRK are upset over Ranveer replacing Shah Rukh.

As soon as Farhan dropped the video on social media, a section of netizens started commenting expressing their displeasure of not taking Shah Rukh Khan as lead. Some even wrote that they can't imagine 'Don 3' without the 'Pathaan' star.

Have a look at some of the fans' reactions here.

For the unversed, Shah Rukh Khan's 'Don' was a rebooted version of the original 'Don', which starred Amitabh Bachchan in the lead role. In 'Don' and 'Don 2' Khan reprised the role played by Mr Bachchan.

Earlier, there were reports that King Khan rejected 'Don 3' as he was not convinced with the script. Last year, Bollywood Hungama quoted a source as saying, “It’s not like Shah Rukh Khan didn’t like the script. It’s just that Shah Rukh was not fully convinced. He knows Don is an iconic role and would like to step back into the character once he’s completely confident of the script. The box office scenario is not very healthy and he wants to be doubly sure before signing on the dotted line.”

On the work front, Shah Rukh has 'Jawan'. The film is directed by Atlee and also stars Nayanthara, Vijay Sethupathi, Deepika Padukone, Sanya Malhotra and Ridhi Dogra. It is all set to release on September 7, 2023. SRK also has Rajkumar Hirani's 'Dunki' with Taapsee Pannu.
