'Ra.One' Director Anubhav Sinha Applauds 'Dunki', Says He's 'Lucky' To Have Worked With Shah Rukh Khan

Renowned filmmaker Anubhav Sinha has taken to social media to express his views on Shah Rukh Khan-starrer 'Dunki.'

Recently released 'Dunki' has been garnering applause from all spheres. The film, which stars Shah Rukh Khan, Taapsee Pannu, Vicky Kaushal, Boman Irani, released in theaters on December 21 and has had a good opening despite having a non-holiday release. Now, well-known filmmaker Anubhav Sinha has watched the film and praised the cast and crew wholeheartedly.

Expressing his love and excitement on his social media, Anubhav Sinha shared some pictures from the cinema hall with his entire team. He wrote in the caption (translated from Hindi), "30 people from office went to watch 'Dunki' today. Had fun. I envy Raju's spontaneity. Being spontaneous is the most difficult thing for a director. Pannu Sahab has done amazing work. Actually, all the actors are amazing. All the actors whom I talk about a scene should go and watch the scene of the actor who does Shah Rukh's immigration interview. Amazing. Sorry I don't know the name yet. I will find out. Vicky has done a great job. The film makes you laugh, cry and comes home together."

He also penned a note for King Khan, with who he has worked on 'Ra.One' earlier. He appreciated him and said, "What can I say about Shah Rukh? I am lucky to have worked with him for 5 years. Now I don't know whether I like that person or that actor more. That person is such a big star, so big that people know India by his name in any country. But still one should learn from him to put his all into every scene. Be it a small scene or a big one, be it your own scene or someone else's, he gives it all. Wow. Everyone should learn from him to hold a corner of importance even in someone else's scene."

Despite the fact that it's a simple film without any 'masala', the 'Thappad' director urged people to go and watch it. "Go and check it out. This is not a swag film. In those films, the stars show their feat while standing away from you. This is that film in which the characters sit nearby and touch you. Long live Raju."

Anubhav Sinha further ended his note by saying, "Recently, I had a conversation with an Afghan taxi driver in London. He had moved to London 25 years ago. Now he has a British passport. I asked him whether he feels like going back. He didn't take a breath and said 'absolutely'. Our country is our own. Look at it."

You can now watch 'Dunki' in theatres near you.
