When a government systematically arranges flower showers along Kanwar routes, cleanliness measures, medical camps and security arrangements, it clearly demonstrates its priorities. The illumination of the Kanwar routes with LED lights gives the impression that the entire state is celebrating Diwali. With rest camps, medical camps and facilities for chilled drinking water arranged at various locations by the administration, teams of doctors remain deployed round the clock so that no devotee has to face any health-related inconvenience. When the administration itself stands to welcome the devotees and police personnel shower flowers on Kanwariyas, the inseparable bond between the state and society is established as a symbol of cultural pride.

Security arrangements are of paramount importance in such a massive public gathering.
