A woman passenger was forced to get off Uber cab in the middle of road in Delhi after she warned the driver who tried to chat her up.  The victim took to Facebook to narrate her harrowing experience.

Through her Facebook post, she has accused a Uber driver of harassing her inside the cab while going from Mehrauli to Gurgaon.

She wrote,"Immediately after the driver picked me up he started giving undue attention and asked me if I am going to my office and where do I work."

To avoid the conversation when she started speaking on he phone, the driver increased the volume of the radio to the maximum.

"Then, when I stopped talking over the phone he started to ask me creepy questions like; “Madam, where do you stay and where are you from? Do you stay alone? Aap Delhi se nhi lag rhe ho, itna bhi kya narazi hain, aap kuch bhi nhi bol rahe ho?”

Subsequently, after the woman asked him to mind his own work, the accused started rash driving.

He then, asked her to get down from the car in the middle of the road in the middle of a busy junction. After getting down , the accused started following her with the car. He kept on following for 2-3 minutes.

She wrote ,"then something clicked in mind and I pretended like reading the number plate of his car and complaining someone. He then drove away. "

Shockingly, when the woman called Uber to lodge a complaint, it was an Uber driver who received the call.

According to a report by The Times of India, Uber in a official statement has said, "The driver has been barred from accessing the app and we are investigating the matter."

The statement added: "There are certain inaccuracies in the rider's Facebook post. The initial call received by the rider was not from Uber. It seems the driver tried calling her, posing as an executive. We have suggested police assistance and support in the matter as the rider may deem fit."

Last year, in a similar incident, an Uber taxi driver was arrested for allegedly molesting a foreign national when she was travelling alone in the cab from suburban Bandra to Versova in Mumbai.

The incident took place came to light only after a friend of the woman posted about it on Facebook the next day following which the victim approached Santacruz police and lodged a complaint against the accused driver Shehbaaz Shaikh (32).
